“The artist has that thought alone which is contained in a marble shell.”
MICHEANGELO
Trumeau Stones was founded in 1994 by owner and proprietor Mark Vanderpost. Mark studied Architecture and Art History at the University of Toronto, and has been certified in Architectural Technology.
After completing his studies, Mark travelled Europe and developed a love of classical French architecture and stone work. He studied the craft of limestone casting, cutting and carving and has been creating beautiful stone mantels, kitchen hoods, doorway reliefs and various stone details ever since.
Mark works directly with every client from start to finish, to ensure that each Trumeau stone creation meets and exceeds every expectation. Every piece is hand crafted by Mark in the studio, and upon completion, he is often on site to oversee the installation process.

WE LIVE FOR
STORIES
We believe that our stone creations are more than just “things.” Every piece has a story – a story that we hope our clients will tell their family and friends over the years and will be passed on from generation to generation. That story starts here, at Trumeau farm, located in Mark’s hometown of Port Dover, established as the workshop in 2014.
